About StreamOrbit

We keep your channel live so you don't have to.

StreamOrbit is a small, independent team building cloud infrastructure for creators who want their YouTube channel to stream 24/7 — without owning a server, learning OBS or paying a subscription.

Why we built it

We started StreamOrbit because we wanted to run a 24/7 music channel on YouTube and every existing option asked us to do something silly: rent a full VPS we'd never log into, leave a personal computer running all night, or commit to a flat monthly subscription that didn't care whether we streamed for 1 hour or 1,000.

None of that made sense. Pre-recorded looping streams are simple by nature — a video file plus a stream key. The infrastructure around them shouldn't be complicated, and the pricing shouldn't be a guess.

So we built the thing we wished existed. Upload a video, paste a YouTube stream key, hit Go Live. We charge by the second from a prepaid wallet, we keep the stream healthy on our servers, and we stop billing the moment you stop the stream. That's the entire product.

What we believe

The principles behind the product

Your PC is not a server

Streaming a video to YouTube 24/7 shouldn't require leaving a hot laptop running in the corner of your room. Computers should sleep. Servers should stream.

Pay for what you use

No subscription, no minimums, no surprise renewals. You top up a wallet, we deduct credit second-by-second while you're live, and we stop the moment you stop.

Simple beats clever

Upload, paste a stream key, hit Go Live. If a creator needs a YouTube video to understand the dashboard, we've designed it wrong.

Be a quiet, boring service

Encrypted stream keys, automatic restarts, transparent billing logs. We'd rather be the part of your workflow you forget about than the one you talk about.

How we run it

A boring stack, on purpose

We picked infrastructure that's known to be reliable so our engineering time can go into the parts you actually touch.

Streaming engine

Server-side RTMP push with auto-restart on disconnect. Lives close to YouTube ingest endpoints.

Storage on Cloudflare R2

Your videos sit on global object storage with cached thumbnails and zero egress fees.

Encrypted credentials

Stream keys are encrypted at rest and only decrypted in memory at broadcast time.

Prepaid wallet

Top-ups handled by a regulated payment provider. We never see or store card details.

Transparent metering

Every second of streaming is logged with the rate that was active at the time. No hidden charges.

Hard stop, always

Reach $0 or your budget cap and the stream stops automatically. No overdrafts, no bill shock.

The short version

How we got here

  1. 2025

    The first loop

Built as an internal tool to keep a lo-fi music channel live 24/7 without paying for a permanent VPS or leaving a desktop running.

  2. Early 2026

    Public beta

Opened up to a small group of creators running radio, ambient and study channels. Added playlists, schedules and the prepaid wallet.

  3. Now

    StreamOrbit v1

Public launch. Anyone can sign up, top up $5 and have a 1080p YouTube broadcast running in under a minute.
